Privacy Policy

Glow Up Era ("we", "us") is a self-guided daily plan for people working through a breakup. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to keep it in plain English.
The short version
- •Your journal entries and daily reflections are private. We do not sell them, share them, or show them to anyone.
- •We collect the minimum we need to give you an account and keep your progress saved.
- •You can ask us to delete everything at any time.
What we collect
Your account details. If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely encrypted version of your password. We use this only to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
What you write in the app. Journal entries, reflections, answers to prompts, and your progress through the daily plan. This is stored so that it is there when you come back, and so it syncs if you use more than one device.
Purchase records. If you unlock a paid tier, we store the fact that you purchased it. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card details.
Basic technical information. Standard details your device sends when it connects, such as device type and app version, plus error reports when something goes wrong. This helps us fix crashes.
What we do not collect
- •We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, or microphone.
- •We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- •We do not build advertising profiles.
- •We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any price.
Why we store what we store
- •To give you an account and keep you signed in.
- •To save your progress and your writing so you do not lose it.
- •To unlock the features you have paid for.
- •To fix bugs and keep the app working.
That is the complete list. We do not use your entries for anything else.
Who can see your data
Your entries are stored in an encrypted database and are accessible only to your account.
We use a small number of service providers to run the app — a hosting and database provider, and Apple for payments. They process data on our behalf, under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We will only disclose information beyond this if we are legally required to, for example by a valid court order.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your entries are deleted from our active systems, and from backups within 30 days.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- •Send you a copy of the data we hold about you.
- •Correct anything that is wrong.
- •Delete your account and everything in it.
Email us and we will action it within 30 days. If you are in the UK, EU, or California, you have these rights in law, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority if you are unhappy with our response.
Children
Glow Up Era is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
This is not medical care
Glow Up Era is a wellbeing tool, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional mental health support. Nothing in the app is medical advice. If you are struggling badly or in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis line in your country.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged in the app.
